Our library has several goals.  LPL's primary goal is to promote literacy among all age groups for the people of Lumberton and the surrounding area.  Our goal is to provide information to the public regarding consumer awareness, safety, and health issues.  Although the Lumberton Public Library tries to provide print and electronic resources on these topics, we also strive to provide seminars on these various topics.  Of course, we are dedicated to maintaining and expanding our collection in various formats that enhance our community's educational and recreational needs.  Finally, The Lumberton Public Library's long-term goal is to expand our present 5,000 square foot facility to serve our public better.
